This Privacy Policy applies to the QR Direct app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices. The Application is an offline utility tool for scanning and generating QR codes and barcodes.

The Application operates entirely offline. It does not require an internet connection to perform its primary functions (scanning and generating codes), and it does not communicate with any external servers to upload your scan history or personal data.

2. App Permissions

To function correctly, the Application requires access to specific features on your device. These permissions are used strictly for local functionality:

• Camera: Required to scan QR codes and barcodes in real-time. Images processed by the camera are analyzed locally on your device and are not saved or transmitted unless you explicitly choose to save a result.
• Storage / Photos / Media: Required only if you choose to:
  • Save a generated QR code image to your device's gallery.
  • Scan an image containing a QR code from your gallery.
• Contacts: Required only if you use the "Generate Contact QR" feature. The app accesses contact details solely to create the QR code at your request. This data is processed locally and is not uploaded anywhere.
• Wi-Fi Connection Information: Required for the app to connect to a Wi-Fi network when you scan a Wi-Fi QR code.

3. Data Retention (Scan History)

The Application includes a "History" feature that saves a local log of codes you have scanned or generated. This history is stored locally on your device's internal storage.

We (the developers) have no access to this data. You have full control over this history and can clear specific items or the entire history at any time through the Application's settings.

4. Third-Party Services and Ads

We do not use any third-party advertising networks. You will not see ads within the Application.

We do not use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Firebase) to track user behavior.

5. External Links

The Application allows you to scan QR codes that may contain links to third-party websites. If you choose to open a link, you will be directed to that third-party site via your device's web browser.

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any website you visit.

6. Children’s Privacy

Since our Application does not collect personal data and works offline, it is safe for use by all ages. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
